I am a contemporary artist in Massachusetts, recognized as a signature member of the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA) and an active member of the New England Art Center (NEAC) and TAG The Art Gallery in SoWa, Boston's vibrant Art + Design District. My paintings are exhibited worldwide, featured in galleries, upscale boutiques, fine restaurants, private collections, libraries, corporate spaces, and on leading platforms like 1stDibs and Artsy.
I am also the author of the Cooper the Dog children's book series, an attorney, and a mother of five.
Painting is my meditation—a practice born from grief. The loss of my brother brought about a deep need in me to create, not for the finished product, but for the process itself. Through painting with vivid colors, each brushstroke makes me happy.
Each artistic approach I choose reflects a different phase of my grief. In the beginning I threw paint, embracing the messy, chaotic release of emotion. As my anger eased, I turned to free-flowing lyrical painting, which just gave me a freedom to create without inhibition. When sadness rears its ugly head, I find comfort in geometric abstracts and landscapes, as the focus quiets my mind.
My practice serves as a reminder that falling apart is often the first step toward becoming whole. Struggle strengthens us. Through my art, I hope to uplift people and show the possibility of light even in the darkness.
